POSITION TITLE: Women’s LifeChange Office Coordinator

REPORTS TO: Senior Director of Angela’s House

SUPERVISES: Administrative Team and Volunteers

LOCATION: Angela’s House: 18555 NW Rock Creek Blvd., Portland, OR 97229

STATUS: Full Time/40 hours per week (Monday – Friday) and occasional evenings/weekends/holidays and special events.

WAGE: $43,000 – $46,000 annually plus benefits

OVERALL POSITION DESCRIPTION:         

In August 2025, Union Gospel Mission opened its new women and children’s residential recovery facility in Rock Creek, Oregon, “Angela’s House.” This new facility will be a home for up to 80 women and children and a central hub for community events. We are looking for an Office Coordinator to manage the day-to-day flow of activities collaboratively with other UGM team members. Angela’s House is a residential recovery community that cares for women and children (newborn to 18 years old) who are healing from homelessness, addiction, abuse, and trauma. We are looking for an Office Coordinator who cultivates UGM’s values and mission and will nurture a physically, emotionally, socially, and spiritually safe and healing environment where lives are touched, healed and transformed by God.

RESPONSIBILITIES AND ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Coordinate and communicate office and event scheduling and reservations
  • Staff and coordinate Women’s LifeChange events onsite for staff, residents, volunteers and community members
  • Train, supervise, and coordinate staffing of the reception desk
  • Interface with UGM staff, residents and volunteers
  • Review and document incident reports and security recordings
  • Handle daily errands including purchasing supplies, delivering items, and coordinating pickups.
  • Assign and oversee building entry privileges including electronic access to all rooms/areas
  • Supervise, coordinate and train Angela’s House volunteers in partnership with departments
  • Interface with IT and Facilities management to coordinate building and technical maintenance and repairs
  • Coordinate WLC purchasing for equipment and resource materials
  • Coordinate and community the WLC and Angela’s House daily calendar of events
  • Collaborate with other UGM teams regarding in-house services (i.e., food services, donations, donor events, etc.)
  • Attend WLC, Ministry Team, and All-Staff meetings and trainings
  • Assist with any other job-related duties as assigned by the Senior Director of Angela’s House

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

  • BA/BS degree or equivalent years of experience required.
  • Previous administrative experience with strong skills in email and phone communication, MS Office products including but not limited to Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, and SharePoint
  • Excellent interpersonal training and networking skills required
  • Excellent computer, written and verbal communication skills required
  • Ability to work in collaboration with other UGM teams
  • Highly detail-oriented with ability to maintain accurate records
  • Demonstrates warmth, kindness, humility, and empathy
  • Caring and compassionate heart for homeless and hurting women and children
  • Strong love for the Lord along with strong integrity and character
  • Agreement with Union Gospel Mission’s Statement of Faith

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:

  • A criminal history and background check are required and must be successfully completed
  • Ability to effectively handle multiple tasks as assigned
  • Ability to walk up and down steps and carry up to 20 lbs.
  • Current driver’s license and insurance.
