Program Director

Southern New Hampshire Rescue Mission is a Christian ministry that seeks to glorify God by serving the homeless and needy of our community. We work to permanently break the cycle of homelessness in men and women by providing safe, clean, shelter with programs and services that are Biblically based and Christ-centered.

POSITION SUMMARY

The Program Director is responsible for the development, implementation, management, supervision and evaluation of men’s programs in accordance with the mission of the organization and biblical principles. The Program Director is responsible for strategic planning and execution of all men’s programs including emergency shelter, LifeChange Discipleship, and Transitional Work Program. The Program Director is responsible for evaluating outcomes and implementing effective change toward helping men experiencing homelessness discover stability and self-sufficiency in their physical, mental and spiritual lives. The Program Director will assist with compassionate care, participation in daily check-in, and occasional assistance with case management activities. A summary of responsibilities include:

  • Supervise, plan and coordinate the work of program guests, interns, and emergency shelter guests.
  • Responsible for the creation and evaluation of all program activities.
  • Supervise intakes, daily roster, and program guests to ensure compliance and progress based on defined, desired outcomes.
  • Develop positive relationships with related or partner agencies that might supplement or assist in development or care of our guests.
  • Coordinate and instruct in sound biblical principles, daily message and a meal.
  • Some weekend and nightly presence may be required.

 QUALIFICATIONS 

  • 2- or 4-year college degree
  • Experience at a faith-based ministry
  • Supervisory/managerial experience preferred
  • Must attend a Bible believing church and live a life reflecting a personal relationship with Jesus as Lord and Savior
  • Strong organizational, verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work well within a team.
  • Must have dependable vehicle, valid driver’s license and a clean driving record
  • Must exhibit, as appropriate, victory over any prior Substance Use Disorders

SALARY/HOURS/ETC.

  • Full-time position – 40+ hours per week, exempt position
  • PTO and paid holidays
  • Salary dependent on work experience, skillset, and education
  • Drug Testing and Background Check required
