Who We Are
Yahweh Warrior Lodge is a new faith-based men’s residential recovery ministry in northern Wisconsin — a Northwoods Training Ground where men step out of addiction, chaos, and broken patterns and begin the journey of becoming who God created them to be. We are built on authentic human relationship, honest accountability, and the transforming power of Christ.
We are a small startup nonprofit with a big mission and a lean team. Our Executive Director comes from a clinical mental health background, not a financial one. We need one person with bookkeeping skills who is willing to give back through their professional expertise for one year as we get established.
This is a modest time commitment with a meaningful impact. The books you keep help us stay accountable to our donors, pursue grants, and focus on the men we serve rather than worrying about whether the numbers are right.
What we are asking for
• Record income and expenses monthly in QuickBooks Online
• Reconcile bank accounts and prepare a simple monthly report
• Help coordinate payroll processing with our payroll service
• Support year-end documentation for our CPA
• Approximately 8–10 hours per month
• One-year commitment (renewable)
• Remote is fine — occasional check-ins with our ED
What you get
• The satisfaction of using your skills for eternal purpose
• A front-row view of God at work in men’s lives
• A clearly defined, bounded role — not an open-ended ask
• A grateful, collaborative team who will honor your time
• The knowledge that your hours directly enable this ministry to operate
• A formal volunteer agreement and role description
• Recognition in our annual ministry report
Are you the right person?
You have bookkeeping or accounting experience — professional, church, or small business. You are comfortable with QuickBooks or willing to learn. You care about faith-based ministry and want your skills to count for something beyond your career. You can commit to a defined task on a monthly basis without needing much hand-holding. You do not need to agree with every theological detail of our ministry — you need to respect our mission and be someone we can trust with our numbers.
One-Year Commitment
We are asking for a one-year commitment rather than an open-ended arrangement. At the end of the year, we will evaluate together whether to continue. This is a fair ask for both parties and gives you a clear and honoring way to say yes. If circumstances change during the year, we will work with you respectfully.
Interested? We would love to hear from you!
